At Harrison Electrical we believe the best way for you to appreciate how we do things is to see it for your self, that said we are members of both mandatory and voluntary associations for profesional registration and safety managment. Here are some of the acreditations we have, and are applyng for at the moment:

Employing an NICEIC approved contractor is a householder's best way to ensure a safe job. NICEIC helps to protect householders from the dangers of unsafe electrical installations. We provide advice on the dangers of electricity and building regulations. Our aim is to protect everyone who uses electricity from unsafe electrical installations anywhere. To achieve this, we maintain a register of qualified, competent electricians.

We look at a representative sample of the contractor’s work, their premises, documentation, equipment, and the competence of their key supervisory staff. Once contractors become registered with NICEIC, they are re-assessed on a regular basis to ensure high standards.

Enrolment with NICEIC is voluntary, but electrical contractors who are conscientious about the service they offer would consider it a priority to enrol.

TrustMark is a government endorsed scheme designed to help property owners find reliable and trustworthy trades people to make home improvements.

The trust mark stamp of quality operates within a framework under which scheme operators who work in the RMI (repair, maintenance and improvement) sector, including trade associations, local government, and independent scheme operators, such as NICEIC. These schemes are approved to carry the TrustMark logo and recruit reputable and trustworthy tradesmen to promote and improve the repair and maintenance sector standards. All of these scheme operators are audited annually by TrustMark, to ensure processes, standards and complaint procedures are being maintained.

Harrison Electrical are not yet a CHAS Accredited Firm, but we are working towards this acreditation. CHAS is a government scheme developed in 1997 designed and established for health and safety pre-qualification in the construction industry. CHAS is a non-commercial scheme available to suppliers who provide goods and services and organisations looking for suitably competent supplier

SAFEcontractor was initially developed as a bespoke project for a Property Management client who wished to outsource the annual vetting of contractors on its approved list. Interest shown by other similar clients identified the potential for a standardised system that could be offered to the whole of the company's client base.

Steady growth and the adoption of the system by some major brand names such as Kellogg, Debenhams Retail Plc, Home Retail Group and General Motors UK, saw entry into new client markets and further growth in contractor members.

NICEIC's Part P Domestic Installer Scheme registers installers to Full Scope or Defined Competence for domestic electrical installation work in accordance with Part P Building Regulations. The scheme covers design, installation, inspection and testing and certification of electrical work associated with dwellings, intended to operate at voltages under 240v.

The Electrical Safety Register has been created by the leading organisations dedicated to the electrical contracting industry and electrical safety, the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) and the Electrical Safety Council (ESC). This is your one-stop shop to finding a local registered electrician.
